Location: Center for Architecture and Design, 1218 Arch Street, Philadelphia, PA 19107

Food Design is an interdisciplinary exploration of food in all its facets. The practice attracts designers from all backgrounds and training. Food design ranges from product design to restaurant concept design to branding, packaging, and digital storytelling. As our world continues to move further and further into a digital existence, food is the universal experience that connects us to each other and our physical environments. Food design asks the hard questions of how to meet the challenges of an evolving global food system and helps shape the conversations occurring at all levels, from farmer to producer to consumer.

Join Hungry Education founder Megan Haupt as she shares examples of exceptional work of food designers around the globe, including food design hot spots such as Barcelona, London, Copenhagen, Amsterdam/Eindhoven. She will also share Hungry Education's food design work and some sneak peeks for 2024 and beyond using Hungry's research-driven and future-focused design approach.

This interactive talk will include a collaborative, agile food design concept challenge and showcase emerging local food brands (snacks!). Tickets come with a complimentary copy of FDzeeN magazine, a collaborative magazine published independently by a global network of food designers. ($20.00 retail value).
