This exhibit showcases the design and development for a suspended acoustic surface system that mitigates acoustic inconsistencies and noise issues within an existing architecture design studio space on campus. The work is led by architecture students and faculty of Thomas Jefferson University and the IDEA Lab.
The prototype demonstrates how sound dissipation between spaces is dynamically controlled, and how the prototype details solve the connection to existing building space and structure.
