To design architecture and interiors is a form of storytelling, creating a specific look and feel that is a representation of the client, brand, and community the building represents and the experience it offers. For the designers at EwingCole, the process often begins with a deep dive of research into the history of the site, the culture of the neighborhood, the values of the organization, the people the building will serve, and many other launch points. From that research, unique stories are often uncovered, and those stories can and should be told through the building design. A design with a foundation rooted in a clear narrative is one that feels cohesive, local, and authentic. So, what are the stories that inspired the design of some of Philadelphia’s favorite building projects? Hosted by Haworth, this panel discussion will talk through Citizens Bank Park, The Fillmore, Finneran Pavilion at Villanova University, and other award-winning projects by EwingCole that have unique stories to tell.
